Leasehold Manager


Applications from individuals or companies are invited for the position of Centre Manager to operate and run the Gregson Community and Arts Centre on a Leasehold basis. This position becomes vacant in September 2017.

The Centre is run on a commercial basis unsupported by any regular supply of public funds. The appointed person(s) will run the centre on a day to day basis, whilst the operations of the Gregson Community Association - the charity which owns and maintains the centre itself - are organised and looked after by an elected committee. The Gregson Arts and Community Centre has been in operation in its present form since 1984 and is a strong and thriving community association in the heart of Freehold, Lancaster. It provides a friendly, accessible, community-based social environment. It is home to many local organisations and groups as well as a favoured spot for local promoters bringing in a wide range of popular cultural events over the year.

Applicants will need to have a strong arts background and have experience of working in community settings. Applicants must be a strong team player with a broad sense of cultural being and heritage.

There will be an informal meeting at 8pm on Thursday 4th May in the Cinema at the Gregson Centre for interested people wishing to hear more about how the centre works and what the leasehold entails.
